Course Overview

Dances with Dirt Gnaw Bone: This here course guarantees shock and awe!

General DWD Course Information: 90% of the course is beautiful running single track through the natural beauty of Brown County State Park and Yellowwood State Forest. (Great & tedious detail is available in the Course Description page of each event...)

Is the trail as tough as advertised? Yes and No. It’s no run down a nature trail (but at times it is just that), you will get wet and muddy. You won’t get swept down stream in any whitewater. Some big hills but no supplemental oxygen is needed. Our descriptions are a disclaimer. All in all, a great run in a beautiful environment...with stupid spots to make it memorable, but it is a run, not an obstacle mud run race..

Of all the events, the 10K has the most extreme, insane terrain, billed as the worlds toughest. All other individual events will give you a beutiful trail run experience, the 10k will beat you to a pulp and make the warrior/mudder kind of races seem hokey and artificial. The DWD Gnaw Bone 10K will prove that the extremes that lie out there in nature are where it's at!

(As always, we keep tweakin' the course to perfection, due to your comments and suggestions, we continue to polish this diamond in the rough. Not to worry, most will be similar to previous years! Yes; we've changed the course the night before, and very occasionally during the race!)

By the way....when you're out on the trail and you see a sign that says "Wrong Way Moron"...don't go that way!
